Agreement and eligibility

These Terms are an agreement between you and Bulk Translate. By creating an account, purchasing credits, or using the service, you agree to these Terms and acknowledge the Privacy Policy.

You must be at least 18 years old, have reached the age of legal majority where you live, and be legally able to enter into a binding agreement. If you use Bulk Translate for an organization, you confirm that you have authority to accept these Terms on its behalf.

The service

Bulk Translate helps users translate spreadsheet text into English. The app lets users upload supported spreadsheet files, inspect sheets and columns, select columns for translation, estimate credit usage, run translations, preview results, and download a translated workbook.

Bulk Translate is not a certified translation service. Machine translation may be incomplete, inaccurate, delayed, unavailable, or unsuitable for a particular context. You should review translated output before relying on it for business, legal, safety, compliance, moderation, employment, financial, medical, or official decisions.

Accounts and access

You agree to provide accurate account information, keep your login credentials secure, and promptly update information that changes. You are responsible for activity performed through your account unless applicable law provides otherwise.

Bulk Translate may require email verification or reauthentication, revoke active sessions, temporarily restrict access, or take other reasonable measures to protect accounts and prevent fraud, abuse, or unauthorized access.

Credits, estimates, and translation charges

Bulk Translate currently uses a pay-as-you-go credit system. New users may receive a one-time free credit bonus. Paid credits are purchased as one-time credit packs, not subscriptions.

Credit estimates are based on the amount of text selected for translation. One base credit covers up to 500 characters, and character totals round up to the next 500-character increment. Basic currently uses a 1x multiplier, Balanced uses a 2x multiplier, and Premium uses a 4x multiplier. The estimated total is the base-credit amount multiplied by the selected model multiplier.

The estimate shown before translation is the maximum expected charge for the selected content. The final charge is calculated from text successfully translated. If only part of a job succeeds, credits are charged only for the successfully translated characters. A job with no successful translations is not charged. Retrying failed cells is a separate translation operation and may result in a separate charge for cells successfully translated during that retry.

You must have enough credits for the estimate before starting a translation. Paid credits currently have no scheduled expiration while the account remains active. Credits have no cash value, cannot be transferred between accounts, and cannot be exchanged for cash except where required by law.

Bulk Translate may change prices, available credit packs, model names, model multipliers, or promotional-credit programs prospectively. The applicable price and estimated credit charge will be displayed before a purchase or translation is confirmed.

Payments and refunds

Payments are processed by Stripe. Bulk Translate does not store full payment card numbers. Stripe may collect and process payment information under its own terms and privacy policy.

Credit purchases are generally final after credits are delivered, except where required by law or provided by the Refund Policy available with the service. Contact support if you experience a duplicate charge, billing error, unauthorized purchase, or failure to receive purchased credits.

If a payment is refunded, reversed, disputed, or determined to be unauthorized, Bulk Translate may remove or adjust the related credits and account records. If related credits have already been used, Bulk Translate may review and resolve the account balance manually.

Your content and responsibilities

You retain your rights in files, spreadsheet text, support messages, and other content you submit. You give Bulk Translate a limited permission to receive, process, transmit, temporarily store, and reproduce that content only as reasonably necessary to provide, secure, maintain, and support the service.

You are responsible for ensuring that you have the rights, permissions, notices, and consents required to upload and process the content, including personal information belonging to employees, customers, or other individuals.

Do not upload passwords, API keys, payment card numbers, government identification numbers, protected health information, children's personal information, or other highly regulated data unless you have independently confirmed that Bulk Translate and the selected translation provider are appropriate for that use.

Translation output

As between you and Bulk Translate, Bulk Translate does not claim ownership of translations generated from your content. You may use downloaded translation output subject to applicable law and any rights belonging to others.

Translation output may not be unique, and similar or identical output may be generated for other users. Bulk Translate does not guarantee that output is eligible for copyright protection, free from third-party rights, or suitable for any particular use.

Third-party providers

Bulk Translate uses third-party providers for translation, hosting, database services, email delivery, and payment processing. Selected spreadsheet text is sent to the translation provider associated with the model you choose. Additional information about provider processing appears in the Privacy Policy.

Third-party services may have their own terms, privacy practices, availability limitations, and retention requirements. Bulk Translate is not responsible for outages, changes, or conduct outside its reasonable control.

Acceptable use

Bulk Translate may be used for good-faith review of sensitive or offensive Trust & Safety content. However, you are responsible for ensuring that your use is lawful, authorized, and consistent with any applicable platform, employer, or customer obligations.

• Do not use Bulk Translate to violate law or third-party rights or to process content without authorization.
• Do not distribute malware, interfere with the service, bypass payment or credit controls, or attempt unauthorized access.
• Do not scrape, probe, reverse engineer, or abuse the service or impersonate another person.
• Do not use the service for fraud, exploitation, or other harmful or illegal activity.

Temporary files and downloads

Bulk Translate is a translation workflow, not a permanent file-storage or backup service. Uploaded files, active jobs, previews, retry data, and generated downloads are temporary and may become unavailable after a limited period, server restart, deployment, or cleanup process.

You are responsible for retaining an original copy of your spreadsheet and downloading completed results promptly. Bulk Translate does not guarantee that an uploaded file or generated workbook can be recovered after it becomes unavailable.

Account suspension and deletion

Bulk Translate may suspend, limit, or terminate access when reasonably necessary to protect the service or its users, investigate suspected misuse, respond to legal requirements, address payment disputes, or enforce these Terms. When appropriate, Bulk Translate may provide notice or an opportunity to correct the issue.

You may permanently close your account through Account Settings after finishing or stopping any active translation. Closing the account signs you out, disables the account, removes remaining credits, and cannot be undone. Unused credits are not refunded solely because you choose to close the account, except where required by law.

Account closure deletes some records and removes or replaces direct identifiers in others, as described in the Privacy Policy. Certain payment, credit, security, and operational records may be retained when reasonably necessary for legal, accounting, fraud-prevention, dispute-resolution, or service-integrity purposes.

Support and feedback

If you submit a support request, screenshot, bug report, feature request, or other feedback, Bulk Translate may process that information to respond, investigate issues, protect the service, and improve its operation.

You may voluntarily provide feedback and suggestions. You allow Bulk Translate to use that feedback without restriction or compensation, but this does not give Bulk Translate ownership of your uploaded spreadsheets, translation content, confidential information, or personal information.

Intellectual property

Bulk Translate, including its software, interface, design, branding, workflows, and documentation, is owned by Bulk Translate or its licensors. These Terms do not give you ownership of the service.

You may not copy, sell, rent, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from the service except as allowed by law or by written permission.

Service changes and availability

Bulk Translate may update, modify, suspend, limit, or discontinue features or portions of the service. Bulk Translate does not guarantee that every model, provider, feature, file format, or integration will remain available.

The service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Bulk Translate disclaims warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, uninterrupted availability, error-free operation, and translation accuracy. Nothing in these Terms excludes warranties or consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Bulk Translate will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost revenue, lost data, business interruption, reputational harm, or cost of substitute services.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Bulk Translate’s total liability for claims relating to the service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid to Bulk Translate in the three months before the event giving rise to the claim or USD $100.

These limitations do not apply where prohibited by law or to liability that cannot legally be limited.

Changes to these Terms

Bulk Translate may update these Terms when the service, business practices, or legal requirements change. Updated Terms will be posted with a revised last-updated date. If a change materially affects your rights, Bulk Translate will provide additional notice when required by law. If applicable law requires affirmative consent, Bulk Translate will request it before the change applies to you.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of California, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Venue for disputes will be in the state or federal courts located in Santa Clara County, California, unless applicable law requires otherwise.

General terms

If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in effect. A failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of the right to enforce it later. You may not transfer your rights under these Terms without permission. Bulk Translate may transfer these Terms as part of a merger, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of the service.

These Terms and any policies expressly incorporated into them constitute the agreement governing your use of the service. Provisions that by their nature should continue after account closure, including ownership, payment obligations, disclaimers, liability limitations, and dispute provisions, will survive.
